Vodafone promotes local talent by setting-up the Rural call center
Jaipur : telecommunications service providers, Vodafone India, has set up a call centre at Jobner in rural Rajasthan to serve and address the needs of Vodafone customers in the state. Vodafone’s call centre at Jobner is manned entirely by residents of Jobner and surrounding villages.
Initially set up with a work force of 25, Vodafone intends ramping up operations to hire 100 employees over the coming six months. As the number of employees rise, it will facilitate additional job opportunities for locals to be a part of one of the India’s most Admired Employer Brands.
Amit Bedi, Business Head - Rajasthan, Vodafone India said, “At Vodafone, we believe in making a meaningful contribution towards society and leading through example by doing things that make people relate to and love our brand. Vodafone has provided direct and indirect employment to over 5000people in Rajasthan."
"The Vodafone call centre at Jobneris our endeavor to contribute towards inclusive development of Rajasthan and promote local talent. It will help us generate more employment in rural Rajasthan and we believe these employees will also be better equipped to understand and serve the needs of our customers in the state," he said.
He further added, "In a few months, after our call centre agents are completely on-boarded, they will be able to interact with customers in local language (Marwari) as well”.
