Global investor meet Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit kicked-off with lamp-lighting
Jaipur : The two-day global investor meet 'Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit' has been kicked off today, with lamp-lighting by the union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh and many more Union and State ministers.
The two-day summit is being held at at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre in Sitapura Industrial Area of the capital city Jaipur.
Summit will see participation of top industrialists like Adani Group chief Gautam Adani, Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani and Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra.
After inauguration the summit, the ambassador of summit and Bollywood actor Irrfan introduced the Rajasthan with its grandeur.
Aimed at attracting investments to the state, the summit will have exclusive sessions on sectors such as tourism, smart cities, highways and urban infrastructure on the first day and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) the last day.
"The entire exercise of this event is expected to draw investment worth Rs. three lakh crore approximately to the state. Many MoUs have already been signed with different industries," said Industry Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar.
Chairman of Tata Sons Cyrus Mistry, Vice-Chairman of Bharti Enterprises Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Chairman of Godrej Group Adi Godrej, Chairman of Aditya Birla Group Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of Vedanta Group Anil Agarwal are also slated to attend the event.
More than 10 Union ministers are expected to be present at the two-day event. The summit will feature thematic seminars, conventions, panel discussions, discussion forums, business-to-business and business-to-government meetings, exhibition pavilions and other networking programmes.
A special session, which is to be attended by Union minister Mahesh Sharma, will focus on ways to increase tourism potential of the state. There will be a session dedicated to the need for a sound policy and regulatory framework and efficient supporting institutions to bring in investments.
Other than these sessions, a special cultural evening titled Resurgent Rajasthan Night has been lined up for tonight to be held in front of the Rajasthan Assembly building.
