Himachal Congress organised a day-long protest aggainst Modi government

Shimla : Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee today organised a day-long protest at all districts against Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government and its anti-people policies and submitted a memorandum to President Pranab Mukherjee through respective Deputy Commissioners.

The protest at Shimla was led by Himachal Congress president Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu who along with a delegation of Cabinet Ministers Vidya Stokes, Thakur Kaul Singh, Col (Dr) Dhani Ram Shandil, Anil Sharma, PCC Vice President Harsh Mahajan, CPS Nand Lal, MLA Mohan Lal Brakta, PCC Chief Spokesperson Naresh Chauhan and HP Youth Congress president Vikramaditya Singh.

PCC Intellectual Department chairman J N Barowalia submitted a memorandum to the President through Governor Kalyan Singh against anti-people policies of the Modi-led BJP government.

HPCC also took out a protest rally that was led by PCC General Secretary Harbhajan Singh Bhajji, DCC Shimla (Urban) president Pradeep Singh Bhujja, DCC Shimla (Rural) President Kehar Singh Khachi in which hundreds of party workers from Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, NSUI, all PCC departments, INTUC and all frontal organizations participated and submitted a memorandum to the President through Deputy Commissioner, Shimla.

Sukhu said BJP-led NDA government was celebrating its first anniversary but the largest question at this point of time is implementation of One Rank, One Pension Scheme for which UPA government had made budgetary provision of Rs 500 crore, bringing back black money that is stashed in foreign banks and anti-farmer Land Acquisition Bill.
