Birthday Special : The 'Khoobsurat' star Sonam Kapoor turns 30
New Delhi : The 'Khoobsurat' star and the daughter of veteran actor Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor, B-town's fashionista Sonam Kapoor, celebrates her birthday and she turn 30 on Tuesday June 9. The actress made her acting debut in 2007 with Bhansali's romantic drama Saawariya opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
On the Birthday of Sonam her cousin Arjun Kapoor took to Instagram to share a throwback picture of him with his elder sister. Along with a picture he wrote on the post, "Happy birthday @sonamkapoor just had to #throwback to remind u we have come a long way..."
She then featured in the political drama 'Delhi-6' in 2009 and had her first commercial success with the romantic comedy 'I Hate Luv Storys' in 2010. Sonam garnered praise and earned several Best Actress nominations, including at Filmfare, for portraying a leading role in the romantic drama 'Raanjhanaa' in 2013.
She also featured briefly in the highly successful biographical sports film 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' in 2013 and played a leading role in the romantic comedy 'Khoobsurat' in 2014.
The actress is gearing up for the release of ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ opposite Salman Khan and will also be seen essaying the role of Neerja Bhanot, in a biopic based on the the flight attendant with the Pan Am Flight 73 who was killed while saving passengers from terrorists on board the hijacked in 1986.
