Aamir Khan's 'PK' cross the mark of 100 crore in China

New Delhi : Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood Aamir khan's satirical science fiction comedy movie 'PK', directed by Rajkumar Hirani, produced by Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and written by Hirani and Abhijat Joshi, has creates a box office history in China as crossing the Rs 100 crore mark in a single country abroad.

PK, which released in 4600 screens across China on May 22, achieved the feat in just 16 days of its release in China. The film stars Aamir Khan in the title role with Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani, Saurabh Shukla, and Sanjay Dutt in supporting roles.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the staggering figures. "#PK creates HISTORY in China. Crosses ? 100 cr on Sat [6 June; 16th day]. Total: $ 15.88 million [? 101.81 cr]. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER,"

PK had released on December 19 last year in India. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial had minted much money at the domestic box office, too, helping it earn the title of a 'mega blockbuster'. Thereafter, the overseas' collection followed suit.

PK premiered in Shanghai on May 13 and was heavily promoted by Aamir, director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra who spent three days touring the country doing press. Aamir said the popularity of 3 Idiots prompted them to bring PK to China.
