Rishi Kapoor called 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' as modern day 'Prem Rog'

New Delhi : Bollywood's famous veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has called the 'Queen' star Kangana Ranaut and R. Madhavan's 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' a modern day version of his 1982 film 'Prem Rog'.

"TWMR is a modern day Prem Rog redone in today's time. You have heard it a million times how good the movie is so don't need to say it. Bravo," Rishi posted on Twitter on Saturday.


While on the other hand, the director of Tanu Weds Manu Returns thanked Rishi for giving a thumbs up to his film.

He wrote in a post along with the poster of Prem Rog on tweeter, ""@chintskap SIR! I AM SPEECHLESS. Thank u and love u sir for showering these blessings on us Regards.YOUR FAN #premrog," Rai tweeted.



Directed by Aanand L. Rai, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, a sequel to 2011 film Tanu Weds Manu, focuses on the rediscovery of love between a married couple Tanu (Kangana) and Manu (Madhavan).

The film features Kangana in a double role of Tanu and Datto and has a supporting cast of actors Jimmy Sheirgill, Deepak Dobriyal and Swara Bhaskar. The film, which released on May 22, got massive response not only from the critics and the audience, but also from the film fraternity.
